RAY MURRAY

Director of Development

Before joining The WorkShop as Director of Development, Ray Murray was one of the founders of Philadelphia-based Banyan Productions. In addition to serving as President, Ray oversaw the company’s Program Development Division, coordinating the creation and development of Banyan’s most notable programs, including “Trading Spaces,” “Wedding Story,” “Deliver Me” and many more.

From 1979 to 1992, Ray was the host of “Evening Magazine,” the highly acclaimed nightly magazine show on KYW-TV in Philadelphia. In addition to hosting the show and interviewing some of the nation’s leading newsmakers and personalities, Ray served as one of the show’s writers and field producers, winning three prestigious Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards and more than a dozen nominations in the process.

Ray is a native of Orange, California, attended the University of California, Fullerton and currently resides in Swedesboro, New Jersey with his wife, Terri and their daughter, Olivia.
