Matt Howley | Director & Producer
Matt has been a producer and director at The WorkShop Content Studios since 2008. He has produced documentary series for platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Vice, Hulu, Golf Channel and GoPro.
Matt created and directed the Emmy-nominated and Realscreen award-winning documentary series Basketball or Nothing on Netflix and served as the lead producer for a 10-part Novak Djokovic documentary series on Amazon Prime. He directed the documentary series Spirit with Executive Producer Stephen Curry and was the showrunner for the 7-part series Pitino: Red Storm Rising. Beyond his documentary work, Matt has produced projects featuring celebrities and athletes, including Adam Levine, Ray Romano, Michael Phelps, Charles Barkley, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler.
Before joining The WorkShop, Matt spent 11 years as a special projects director and supervising producer for Emmy Award-winning programs at NBC Sports Philadelphia. A graduate of La Salle University, he resides in Philadelphia.
